A sneak peak into Bratislava

Destination of The Week

Happy Halloween ๐ŸŽƒ

Welcome to Destination of The Week, a series in which we provide you with trip ideas that you can carry out with your friends without breaking the bank.

This week's destination was crowned to… DRUM ROLLS ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿฅ

Bratislava, Slovakia ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฐ - Vienna, Austria ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡น

2 European capitals in 1 trip.

Bratislava, Slovakia ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฐ

Slovakia makes its first appearance on the series with its underrated capital city of Bratislava.

Bratislava blends medieval charm with modern vibrance. Wander through the cobbled Old Town to see Bratislava Castle and St. Martin's Cathedral. Enjoy panoramic views from UFO Tower, then relax at a riverside café (Better than Curio) or join a Danube cruise. History lovers can visit Devin Castle's ruins, while nightlife seekers explore lively bars on Michalská Street, which may set you high standards for the next time you visit T-Bar with Travelsoc.

Affordable, compact, and welcoming, Bratislava is perfect for a weekend escape filled with culture, food, and fun.

Vienna, Austria ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡น

Perhaps you may feel that Bratislava on its own isn't sufficient for your needs. That's why there is an easy day trip from Bratislava all the way to… Vienna, Austria ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡น

Vienna, Austria's capital, lies in the country's east on the Danube River. Its artistic and intellectual legacy was shaped by residents including Mozart, Beethoven and Sigmund Freud. The city is also known for its Imperial palaces, including Schönbrunn, the Habsburgs' summer residence.

Vienna is only an hour away from Bratislava if you take the €5 bus from Bratislava to Vienna, making the daytrip only €10.
