Disability History Month Fair

Event from SU Campaigns & Communities

Monday 27 November 2023, 1.00PM - Monday 27 November 2023, 5.00PM

SU Atrium

Join us on Monday 27 November for our Disability History Month Fair!

Held in the SU Atrium, 1-5pm.

Through the disability fair, we hope to provide a space for students to understand and learn more about the history of disability, with stalls from a variety of disability societies such as Autism at Warwick and Warwick Enable, library, and disability services. The fair will facilitate a space for disabled students to explore their own histories, particularly relating to the theme of youth and childhood, and how you can access support mechanisms whilst studying at Warwick.

There will also be an opportunity get creative and to make your own zine about Disability History Month / your disability experiences. A zine is an mini 8-page book, created by cutting & sticking images, text, icons, and illustrations. Here are some examples to inspire your creations : Example 1 | Example 2 | Example 3 | Example 4

If you have ordered an item through the DIsability Item Fund 2022/23, there will be a collection point at the fair

This event is being led on by your VP Education Holly, Disabled Students' Officer Mads, and Autism at Warwick Exec Ben.

We hope to see you there!
