Navratri, also known as Navaratri, is a Hindu festival that spans nine nights and is dedicated to the worship of the goddess Durga. The word
"Navratri" is derived from two Sanskrit words: "Nav" meaning nine and "Ratri" meaning night. The festival usually occurs in the months of September or October, based on the lunar calendar. Navratri is a significant religious and cultural event, bringing people together to celebrate their faith, heritage, and the spirit of unity. Different regions of India have their own unique customs and traditions associated with Navratri, making it a vibrant and diverse festival. The Warwick Indian Society aims to bring this festival to the students of Warwick with our event Nagada
