Ready to take your archery to the next level?

Beginners’ Development is designed for archers who have recently completed one of our Beginners Courses and are keen to progress their technique quickly, particularly those interested in shooting competitively.

With focused coaching and individual feedback from our ArcheryGB-qualified coaches, these sessions are an opportunity to refine your technique, build good habits from the start and develop the consistency and confidence needed for long-term improvement.

We know that having the right guidance early on can make a huge difference to your development as an archer. Beginners’ Development provides a more focused coaching environment for those who are particularly keen to improve and get the most out of their shooting.

Thursdays – Weeks 5 & 7
17:00–20:00

Please arrive promptly at 17:00, as arriving late may mean we cannot guarantee that you receive the most appropriate bow for you.

Please note: You must have completed a Beginners Course to take part in Beginners’ Development.

Beginners Course 2: 24th October; Want to shoot with us at UWAC and have no prior experience of the sport? Come and do a beginners course to learn the ins and outs of shooting with us. You must do a course before being able to attend our sessions

🏂 Warwick Snow – Freestyle Tuesday: 3rd November; Snowdome Tamworth; A coached beginner freestyle session at SnowDome Tamworth – boxes, rails and kickers on real snow. No park experience needed. Just 11 spaces, lifts provided from campus.

WONT 2026: 7th November; Zone D; Our yearly novice archery competition!

Warwick National Novices Competition 2026: 28th November; St Nicholas Park Leisure Centre, Warwick CV34 4QY; National Novices Competition 2026 sees university fencers with under two years experience from around the country come to compete in three weapon categories in a fun and friendly environment.
