For each sex, the 8 highest ranking athletes in speed will qualify for the speed final, in a series of knock-out heats.

The score of the top 2 scoring women and top 2 scoring men in lead from a specific university will be counted towards the university's overall score and ranking in lead.

The score of the top 2 scoring women and top 2 scoring men in speed from a specific university will be counted towards the university's overall score and ranking in speed.
