BUCS Fixtures

What is BUCS Sport?

Every Wednesday during term time, universities across the UK come alive with competitive spirit as students take part in BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) fixtures. It's the heart of intercollegiate sport—where teams represent their universities in everything from football and netball to rugby and rowing.

Why Student Sport Matters
Student sport is more than just competition—it's a powerful part of university life. It builds community, supports mental and physical well-being, and teaches teamwork, resilience, and leadership. Whether you're aiming for the win or just showing up for your teammates, BUCS Wednesdays are where memories are made.

Where can I watch BUCS Fixtures?

It's super easy to watch BUCS fixtures as we host most of them here on campus. We have three main clusters of sports facilities that are venues for our competitive sport.

Cryfield Sports Pitches: This venue is located to the south of campus, about a 10 minute walk from the Students Union. Here you'll find 3 dedicated Football pitches, 3 Rugby Pitches and 2 Lacrosse pitches. There's also a Cricket pitch during the summer term, and also the state-of-the-art 4G artificial pitch which can accommodate Football, Rugby, and American Football fixtures.

Warwick Sports Hub: Over to the west of the campus is the sports hub, our indoor arena, climbing wall, and aqautics centre. Opened in 2019, it is the newest of all of the University of Warwick facilities and boasts 12-court sports hall which can offer Badminton, Basketball, Futsal, Handball, Netball, Table Tennis, and Volleyball with balcony and bleacher seating for big events. 6 Squash courts with spectator seating. Huge Climbing wall infrastructure, as well as a 25m swimming pool. Finally, there'sd all the dedicated fitness facilities such as 230-station gym and multiple studios.

Westwood Campus: Finally, we have the Westwood campus, located to the north of central campus and about a 25-minute walk from the Students Union. Here you'll find the Warwick Tennis Centre, with 4 indoor hard courts with veiwing balcony, plus 4 outdoor clay courts. There's also the Westwood Sports Hall and Athletics track, in addition to both a Waterbased and Sandbased Hockey pitch, and the Tarket 3G, which hosts Football and Lacrosse matches.
