Society Exec Member Training

We offer a range of training opportunities to equip you with the knowledge and skills to run your society successfully. This will help you be more effective in your Exec Member role, and make the process of running your Club/Society as fun and engaging as it can be!

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE HANDOVER PACK DEADLINE IS FRIDAY 27th MARCH, AND ELECTIONS NEED TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE WEEK 9 OF TERM 2.

Newly Elected Exec? Start Here!

Firstly, well done on becoming an Exec!

To support you, we've developed a range of online training resources to prepare newly elected Execs for their role. Courses are tracked and some are mandatory depending on your position on the Evolve patform, which you will get access too in Term 3. (This is a new platform that you will recieve a personal link too via your University email address in May). If any other Execs would like to have a look, please see the content below.

Quizzes

All to be completed as part of mandatory training on the Evolve platform for core Exec (Any other Exec may do this here if they wish to). Risk assessment training and Active bystander training will not be on the Evolve platform. These need to be completed and can be found below.

Risk Assessments

  • You are required to complete an annual risk assessment along with your handover pack.
  • You are also required to complete risk assessments for each event that you submit a planning pack for.

  • Moodle link - This is a Moodle training on how to complete a good risk assessment. This is mandatory for at least 2 Execs to complete, with your handover in term 2/3. The certificates should be emailed to studentactivities@warwicksu.com

Outreach/Volunteering

If your Society/Club is participating in outreach or volunteer work, please ensure all participants have completed the University Moodle on safeguarding. Please see below advice and contact studentactivities@warwicksu.com before you undertake any outreach/volunteer work to inform us of your plans.
