- Thursday 28 May 2026, 1.00PM
Social Sciences - S0.20
The first hour will be centred on employment rights. We will discuss your rights as an employee, specifically focusing on contracts, working hours, wages, representation and working conditions. We will be joined by a representative from Unison Union, who will discuss this in more detail, also expanding on what a trade union is, how you can join, the benefits of being a member and how they can help you.
Our topic for the second hour is your academic rights as a student. This relates specifically to the University of Warwick and includes things like academic governance, misconduct procedures, and mitigating circumstances. We will be joined by colleagues from our SU Advice Centre who work daily in this area. The SU advisors will also be available for all sessions to offer their expert insights.
