The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to be a confident and highly anticipated return to the world of high fashion, bringing back the sharp wit and iconic characters that made the original so memorable. At its centre is Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), now an established journalist, who finds herself drawn once again into the orbit of Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep). As their paths cross in a rapidly changing industry, familiar tensions resurface, this time complicated further by the presence of Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), whose role appears more influential than ever. This sequel builds on what audiences already love and cherish, whilst giving the characters space to evolve, making it engaging to both returning fans and those new to the story. There is also the added appeal of returning faces, and while not much has been revealed, any excuse to see Stanley Tucci back in this world is a welcome one. Overall, the film presents itself as an engaging continuation of a much loved franchise and feels well worth seeing on the big screen at the WSC. [Nell Carter]
