Come see The Truman Show presented with 35mm Projection on the big screen in L3!

With Jim Carrey as the titular Truman, this cult classic solidified his reputation as more than just a comedy one-trick-pony for me. Notorious for his 90s lacklustre works, like Ace Ventura, Dumb and Dumber, and The Mask, Carrey finally breaks through this superficial ‘funny guy’ caricature. The Truman Show bears a message that I'd argue is ahead of its time, a conspiracy theorists dream (or nightmare). The story is beautifully crafted from beginning to end, and whilst the ending feels incomplete for some, it is perfect to me. Sometimes I look up to the moon and wonder if there’s an arrogantly complex man standing there, looking back at me too.  [Holly Beaumont]
