Our 2019 Summit will be focused on ‘WE FACE FORWARD- Daima Mbele’. This year’s theme provides a guiding force for the philosophy of Pan - Africanism. The belief that our shared prosperity can only be achieved through the strength of a united continent. One held by Africa’s foremost Pan-Africanist Kwame Nkrumah, who strived to show Africa that it’s potential should be realized by itself for itself. With this in mind, Warwick Africa Summit will aim to explore the potential Africa can unlock when it is united, and works for the greater good of the continent as a whole. We will be adopting an all-encompassing approach, exploring new and inspirational ways to tackle challenges that have hindered Africa’s progress past and present, as well as how we can enter a more unified and dynamic future.
The summit presents a platform to address the different difficulties faced by the continent through the multi-disciplinary keynote speeches and panels of Human and Economic Development, Innovation, Governance, and, Culture and History. We aim to generate engagement, innovation and collaboration between students, academics and practitioners as well as raise awareness of a continent, which is not always understood.
Our speakers range from politicians, bankers, entrepreneurs, activists to philanthropist who have dedicated their lives to unlocking the Continent’s true potential.
Join us on the 9th and 10th of February 2018 as we come together and address the challenges to Africa's development and celebrate our continent, its success and its people.
