About Union Officers

Sabbatical Officers

The Union has 7 full-time sabbatical officers of the Students' Union who are responsible for the day to day running of the Union. You can email them by clicking on their names.

Part-time Officers

The Union has 31 Part-time Officer positions. These Officers do a variety of things.

Forum Coordinators and Committee Chairs

These guys are all in charge of their own forum committee, with their own roles and responsibilities. They also sit on the Executive Committee and Union Council. Forums are a new addition, allowing any student to have their say on issues that affect them.

Non-portfolio Executive Officers

These two sit on the Executive Committee but do not have specific areas of responsibility. This is to give them time to look carefully at what the executive committee as a whole is doing.

This year's officers are Sami Wannell and Felix Faltin.

Campaign Officers

Campaign Officers are in charge of running campaigns in their own specialist areas

Representation Committee/Forum Chairs

The Representation Committee/Forum Chairs lead the Union working groups for particular groups of our membership. They advise the Union on how better to interact with these groups and run campaigns relating specifically to the needs of these students.

Chairs of Council

The Chair and Deputy Chair of Council share the responsibility of chairing Council and General Meetings

This year's chair is Asen Geshakov, and his deputy is Samantha Raoult.
