Warwick Students' Union is a charitable organisation that delivers a huge range of services to the 24000 students at the University of Warwick. Our aim is to ensure that every student is able to reach their potential by supporting them through their University experience. We represent student’s interests, provide welfare support and advice, help them develop skills through extracurricular activity such as our 270 societies and 70 sports clubs, support volunteering and ultimately ensure they have a safe, enjoyable and fun University experience.

As a consequence of our activities, we have complex IT systems and a need to ensure the security of our data and our members. This is a new role with responsibility for delivering information security compliance on behalf of Warwick Students' Union. You will be providing leadership and expertise in provision of business continuity and disaster recovery as well as developing and implementing day to day policies, procedures and access rights.

The role is part time with some flexibility around how hours can be configured. We are looking for someone who likes to work in a vibrant, busy environment; someone who is solution-focused with strong technical knowledge of information security best practice and ability to assess and mitigate risk from a practical perspective. The ideal candidate will have experience of conducting information security assessments. A practical knowledge of network management strategies and experience of systems and networking are essential.
