Details

Warwick SU is a charitable organisation which exists to represent the views and interests of students at Warwick University. The University’s 20,000 + students come from across the UK and overseas, from diverse age groups, with diverse experiences and needs.

Warwick SU is a membership organisation which also runs significant commercial services whose surpluses are used to subsidise these welfare, representational and developmental activities for our members.

The Trustees of Warwick SU are fundamental to the success of the charity and are responsible for its financial sustainability and strategic direction.

AS a result of some of our current trustees coming to the end of their Warwick University career, we are looking for up to 4 volunteer Student trustees with passion and enthusiasm who can commit 4 to 6 hours per month largely in early evenings to drive strategy and ensure strong charity governance.

To be a Trustee,  you must be a student at Warwick University, be over 18 years old when you take up appointment and you must have no unspent criminal convictions.

You will be required to attend training both at the start of your term of office and throughout in order to ensure you have adequate knowledge to carry out your responsibilities.

Our Trustee Board has been lucky enough to include postgraduate and undergraduate students, full time and part time students, home and international students, students from the whole range of faculties and students of varying ages (from 18 to 70!). We would really like to maintain such a wide variety of experiences on our Trustee Board and welcome applications from all students in any of the demographic groups that make up the student body here at Warwick.

If you think you would be interested in applying to be a student trustee, email trustees@warwicksu.com for further information. For an informal discussion about the role please contact Leo Boe, Chair of Trustees and President of Warwick SU by email at  president@warwicksu.com.
