The University of Warwick is one of only a few UK universities with an (American) Flag Football Team and the Warwick Wolverines are thriving within this community. As a non-contact sport flag-football amplifies all the speed and strategy of regular American football, making it a great way to play a fun and exciting sport on a less contact-intense level.
The Wolverines are a small and friendly team and open to all, regardless of familiarity with the sport or athletic ability. The majority of the current Wolverines were new to Flag Football when they began, so don’t let inexperience put you off! Come to a practice to try it out, we promise you won’t regret it.
We train twice a week, Wednesdays 1-3 and Sundays 12-2, and have regular matches with other Flag Football Teams all around the country. We also have a termly match against the Warwick Wolves and, as The Wolverines have been around for 5 years now, at the end of the year we play the Old Girl’s to see if they still have what it takes. Fun for all, both in training and socially outside the sport where we have weekly socials including meals out and watching the Super bowl!
Warwick Wolverines is part of the American Football Club.
