Kali-Jeet Kune Do is made up of two martial arts: Kali and Jeet Kune Do. Kali is a traditional Filipino martial art best known by its iconic stick fighting, similar to eskrima. However, Kali is actually based around transferable motions that work both with weapons and the empty hand. Jeet Kune Do is not only a martial art but also a philosophy, created by Bruce Lee when he felt that the other techniques he used were holding him back. Within the sessions our instructor seamlessly moves between the two creating an effective and intuitive fighting style which is great for self-defence.
We are a rapidly growing society with a wide variety of members from lots of different backgrounds. Our training is incredibly flexible we have many members who come just for the social aspect and the friendly atmosphere of our club, while others are more into serious training. Whatever you want out of our club we can cater to it, so whether you're a veteran martial artist or have never even considered it, come along to our sessions and let us give you a whole new experience.
