Completely new to the sport? Welcome to fencing! Join our Novice Programme, where all equipment is provided! You'll get the opportunity to learn all three weapons and compete in a National University Novice Competition.

Have you fenced before? Train with us and join one of our teams! We provide 3 weapon coaching and have successful Men's and Women's BUCS teams that compete in the Midlands 1A Leagues.

Join in with our vibrant social scene, with a social every week - it's the perfect opportunity to make friends!

We encourage everyone to compete in local and national competitions with other members of the club, however there's no pressure to compete. We run our very own beginner's competition in November (National Novices) and a three-weapon open - the Warwick Open in January.

You don't need to be a member for the first 2 weeks!

1. Training Times

2023-2024

• Monday 18:30 - 20:30, Westwood Games Hall (beginners session and experienced sparring)
• Wednesday 20:00 - 22:00, Westwood Games Hall (beginners session and experienced sparring)
• Saturday 16:00-19:00, Westwood Games Hall (experienced session)

2. How to Join

To join fencing you'll need:

• To do any sport in Warwick you will need Warwick Sport On Campus Club Pass & Sports Federation Fee (see "Join This Club")
• Fencing membership £6 (£7.50 for associate memberships)
• Session fees (payable to our treasurer):
  • Per session: £4 (kit included) or our termly pass £60 or our half-termly pass starting week 6 £35

The club uses session fees to pay for coaching as well as to fix and buy equipment.
