Are you a current student who's interested in sitting on our Board of Trustees and helping to maintain the organisation's financial stability and strategic direction? If so, read on for more details of how to apply...
Warwick Students’ Union is a charitable membership organisation which exists to represent the views and interests of all students at Warwick University. We also run significant commercial services whose surpluses are used to subsidise welfare, representational and developmental activities for our members.
The Trustees of Warwick SU are fundamental to the success of the charity and are responsible for its financial sustainability and strategic direction. We are looking for one additional volunteer Student trustee who can commit 4 to 6 hours per month, largely in early evenings.
To be a Student Trustee, you must be a student at Warwick University, be over 18 years old when you take up appointment and have no unspent criminal convictions. We would really like to maintain a wide variety of experiences and skills on our Trustee Board and welcome applications from all students in any of the demographic groups that make up the student body here at Warwick.
We are particularly interested in hearing from international students, non-UG students and students from black and ethnic minority groups.
If you think you would be interested in applying to be a student trustee, email trustees@warwicksu.com for further information or visit the website at www.warwicksu.com/trustees.
You can also visit the Charities Commission website which contains good advice and guidance on being a Trustee.
If you are interested, send a CV and covering letter detailing why you would like to be a trustee at Warwick Students’ Union to trustees@warwicksu.com.
