“Scoliosis is a curvature of the spine in a C or S shape. Scoliosis affects about 2% of females and 0.5% of males. In most cases, the cause of scoliosis is unknown” - Charles Patrick Davis, MD, PHD
When coming to University with Scoliosis, so many factors can impact whether that University is the one for you, and we want to begin making the understanding and awareness of Scoliosis louder and bolder here at Warwick. Warwick SU will be holding a free tea, coffee and cake drop in event to raise the awareness of Scoliosis on campus. This is open to all students and staff at Warwick, and at this drop in session you will be able to:
- Help raise the awareness of Scoliosis
- Understand how to support someone at University (from a lecturer, friend or staff perspective)
- Develop your knowledge of Scoliosis
- Get advice and support if you have this condition!
This will be the first event held here to support those with Scoliosis and raise the awareness across the University of Warwick. Get involved with Scoliosis and we will see you there!
