My manifesto pledges:

Real Employment Contracts for Hourly-Paid Tutors

Postgrad tutors provide excellent seminars, labs and help classes for 1000s of students but the University denies them basic rights by not even treating them as employees. I will campaign to get long-awaited employment contracts and protections for all hourly-paid tutors.

Comprehensive University Hate Crime Strategy

I will push for a comprehensive University hate crime strategy, including prevention, support for victim-survivors, and community outreach. I will campaign for increased resource to protect our students, and reinstate the Canley shuttle bus.

Expand WMG’s Exclusive Affordable Meal Deals to All

It isn’t fair that the cheaper meals are only offered to students from one department. I will work with the University to offer affordable, hot meals in campus outlets, to help cut the costs of study at Warwick.

Improved English Language and Academic Skills Support

There is inconsistent English language and academic skills support offered across the University. I will campaign for greater consistency, and increased resources for these vital services, to ensure that students feel secure in their abilities during their studies at Warwick.

Abolish Postgrad Application Fees for Current Warwick Students

Current application fees for postgrad study are inaccessible, having risen to £55! I will fight for current Warwick students to have this fee waived when  applying for postgraduate study at Warwick.

Graduation Ceremonies for All

I will push for graduation ceremonies to be extended to all university qualifications, Postgraduate Certificates, and other qualifications not currently permitted a graduation ceremony. Your achievement deserves to be celebrated.

Increased Study Space Choices

Accessible study spaces in designated Postgraduate study areas should be improved - it isn’t enough to have a single computer space for wheelchair users in some study spaces. I will also lobby for dedicated postgraduate spaces, including PhD office spaces, in proposed developments to academic buildings.

Specialised Support Services for Postgraduates

I will campaign for specialised support services to meaningfully tackle Postgraduate wellbeing issues, like isolation and imposter syndrome. These are much needed additions to the University’s wellbeing support provision.

Enhance the Warwick SU Parent and Carer Network

I will continue to work on University support and recognition for students with dependents, and offer support through the SU. I join the calls for increased childcare provision for students, particularly ad hoc creche facilities.

Continue the Warwick IPC

I will continue the Warwick Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Conference, giving Postgrads from all departments and all levels of study the opportunity to present their research at a multi-disciplinary, dynamic conference, run by the Students’ Union.
