Making the right accommodation choice can be the difference between a good year and a disastrous one!
Housing Day 2018 is your opportunity to understand how to rent properties off-campus and make good accommodation choices.

  • Pick up the SU's "Looking for Accommodation Guide" and other useful information

  • Attend information talks that will help you understand how to start looking for accommodation and avoid common mistakes

  • Meet the experienced SU Advice Team and ask them any questions you may have about renting accommodation

  • Meet Warwick Accommodation, who will be there to explain how you can rent from them

  • Meet Coventry City Council and Warwick District Council representatives, who will be available to give you more information and explain what help is available if you experience problems with your accomodation after you move in.

  • A talk about how to rent successfuly, delivered by our student Housing Ambassadors

  • A Q&A Session by SU Welfare & Campaigns Officer, Jemma Ansell

  • A talk from Warwick Accommodation about how to rent from them

Alongside Housing Day, we are running two photo competitions - Homely Home and Housing Horrors.

Post your snaps and/or videos on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to help your fellow students make good housing choices and be in with a chance of winning a £5 voucher for the SU's food outlets!

This year, we have two hashtags to use:

#WSUHousingHorrors18 for the things your landlord or letting agent would probably prefer were kept quiet. Collapsing ceilings, rodents, building works, mould, damp... the gnarlier, the better!

#WSUHomelyHome18 for the nicer snapshots of how you've managed to turn your student accommodation into a home away from home.

Good luck!
