Online and Distance Purchases

There are extra rights to cover online and distance purchases which are on top of your usual consumer rights. You should have clear information about the goods beforehand, you must get written confirmation of this information after purchase and you have the right to be refunded if the delivery date is not met.

You also have a cooling off period of usually 14 days during which you can change your mind about buying for any reason and get your money back.

Ensure that the website you are buying from has full details of the company including a postal address.
