SUHQ Reception

If you have a question about your SU, we are the people to ask. The veritable font of all knowledge about Union activities, we will have the answer or be able to point you in the direction of whoever will. As well as offering help with your day-today queries, you probably don’t realise all of these other services we offer you…

 

Lost Property

We are responsible for all of the lost property within the SU and the Library. The Library bring their lost property to the SU once a week on average, so on some occasions it may be best to try there first. Anything lost in or around the SU is usually handed in here so pop by and see us and we will be more than happy to help you. If your lost item is not here then we have forms you can complete so we can contact you if it turns up!

As you can imagine, we receive a huge amount of Lost Property which means we only have the capacity to store items for a maximum of two weeks. After this time they are donated to charity. Please try and contact us as soon as possible in order to avoid this.

 

Cloakroom

All confiscated items and uncollected cloakrooms can also be collected from Reception. Please bring along your cloakroom ticket and we should have your jacket. Please note that you have to pick your item up within two weeks or these items will go to charity with the lost property items.

 

 

Photocopy and Black & White Print

Many students don’t realise that we offer a black and white print service here at SUHQ Reception. We can print anything from A5 to A3 on white or coloured paper and also offer a laminating service. So, if you require any printing for your club/society or for yourself, please come and see us and we will sort this as quickly as possible for you.

 

 

Locker Hire

Do you have too many books to carry around campus, or a sports bag you want to leave somewhere? The SU offers a locker hire service where you can rent a locker for a day, week, term or the year. All you need to do is complete a form and pay a £10 deposit for the key and we will take care of the rest!

 

 

Ticket Sales

In addition to online sales via the website, you can purchase tickets for any of our Union events and/or join societies from Reception. All tickets and memberships are stored electronically on your student card upon purchase, so make sure you take your card with you to events.

 

 

Collections

Reception handles most collections for the Students’ Union, such as NUS Extra Cards, Freshers Passes and physical ball tickets. All you need is your student ID card to collect any of these items.

 

 

 

Refunds

Here at Reception we offer refunds for;

  • SU vending machines
  • PhotoMe machine
  • Pool tables
  • Launderette
  • Amusement machine
  • Change machine

All you need to do is complete a refund claim form and you will be contacted shortly after to collect your money.
