Phase 1

The Venue
This is going to be the four roomed jewel in our crown. It’s a triple height structure specifically designed to be as flexible as possible and to give Warwick Students’ Union the stage and performance space that it deserves. As with all things in the rebuild it will be hugely more flexible than what we have now. Well be able to run events in everyone of these rooms separately or join the whole thing together, or join parts of it together.

The Graduate
The expansion of the Graduate last Easter has been one of the real success stories of recent years. More and more members are enjoying the unique atmosphere that this fine traditional pub offers. With the extension in the Rebuild we will carry on the great reputation that the Graduate has and expand it even further.

The Plant Rooms

As mentioned previously one of the main problems with the building is that it was never designed to deal with as many people as it currently services. This means that everything from access, to sewage systems to data cabling is sub-standard. To allow the building to service our members for the next 25 years we are installing state of the art facilities.

Phase 2

The Terrace Bar
This is going to be a large, airy, light, classy, and sophisticated bar with premium views looking out over the Piazza. Offering everything from light bites during the day to glasses of wine with friends in the evening to a wide selection of speciality beers and lagers this is going to be a place to come out before you head down to have a dance in the main club.

The Piazza Cafe

A cool, laid-back coffee bar serving up grab and go food during the day and open late for those night-owls who want to be able to sit in a comfy sofa with a good book or discussing the various merits of the socialist theocracy in Eastern Europe. We’ll also have sandwiches and healthy juices available throughout for those of you who fancy a little less of a caffeine hit.

The Atrium

The light and airy covered space running right through the heart of the Union will be an ideal location for anyone who fancies taking the weight of the world off their shoulders with a drink or snack from any of the numerous outlets available to the atrium. Alternatively if people just want to come and relax in a nice inviting atmosphere then this is the place to do it.

The Clubs/Socs Space

This will be a 150 person capacity venue which will serve as a multi-purpose space for societies and clubs to host performances and events. It will also allow those that need to a space to practice during the day to have somewhere which they can use. It will not just be for performance societies, it will be open to any society to book and use. As mentioned earlier it was purposefully designed to have a capacity of 150 and no more because this is what societies and clubs told us that they wanted. It means that all clubs and socs will be able to host events that feel well attended in a space that suits them.

The Deli

Around about what is currently Quench we’re going to have a specialist sandwich and grab and go outlet. With everything from handmade baguettes to tasty melted cheese sandwiches this is the place to come if you’re in a hurry and need some tasty good value nourishment. Always looking at how to be healthier we’re going to be making sure that there are plenty of ways to get your five a day without breaking the bank or growing your own melons in the back garden.

The Retail Outlets

Within the new building there will definitely be a Hairdresser’s and Chemist. They will be relocating during Phase 2 of the build and will certainly be coming back in once the building is finished.
