Union Rebuild

This is the most exciting year in the history of Warwick SU.

It’s no great secret that the old Union building wasn’t fit for purpose. From the fact that it lacked any obvious entrance, to inadequate back of house facilities, something had to be done – before it was too late. That’s why we’re proud to be undergoing the current £11 million rebuild project. Much more than just a lick of paint and a few new sofas, the rebuild is a major construction project and will ultimately deliver the best Students’ Union building in the UK.

These pages will give you a sneak preview of the new Union building. The works have been phased so that the disruption to students and campus as a whole is minimized. This means that the new Union will actually open in two stages – ‘Phase one’, which includes the new 4 roomed triple height venue and the new Pub will be open for term 3 this year. ‘Phase 2’, which includes the new Terrace Bar, Piazza Café, Atrium and Deli will be open in time for Freshers’ 09.
