This Union is delighted to announce that this term we are launching our Strategic Plan that will direct us through the next three years 2008-2010. This document is widely available and it is published for the information and interest of all our members and stakeholders

The Strategy outlines some key challenges for the Union and states clearly our objectives to making the organisation fit for the 21^st Century.

Every aspect is student-centred, having taken its direction from feedback gained in the Union’s far-reaching 'Over2U' survey conducted over the past two years - with students being consulted at every stage since.

It has been worked on by two Officer Teams and has been through Union Exec, and will be formally launched at the Union's Annual General Meeting in Week 2.

Throughout the first week of Term 2 Union Officers will be going around halls introducing students to the strategy and answering their questions. The document is available in hard copy and is also accessible electronically from this website. It will remain here for the next three years and is in addition now being been widely circulated to members as well as supporters and partners in the University and wider community; locally, regionally and nationally.

This document is an important milestone in the Union’s history. We are keen to ensure that students remain at the heart of everything we do, especially in inputting into the direction and service development of the Union. We are seeking to ensure that this Union remains accessible and open to continued student input and we are encouraging involvement and interaction at every level of every service.
