SUPERSTARS

The toughest Superstars competition yet; could you win the coveted title? 9 events over Monday and Tuesday of week 10, each person must take part in at least 7. Male and female categories, name on the shield and medals for the winners.s.d.essex@warwick.ac.uk for more info.
Monday’s Superstars events:
Cycling (10am- 12pm, gym): 10 minute bike ride, whoever covers the most distance in 10 minutes wins.
Weight lifting (12.30pm, piazza): Most curls in 1 minute. Will take place on the Piazza (weather permitting).
Swimming (2- 4pm, pool): 4 lengths, quickest wins
Basketball (5.30- 6.30pm, Desso Hall): Dribbling and shooting baskets. Quickest time to complete 5 scored baskets when dribbling from half way line of court.
Tuesday’s Superstars events
Putting competition (11am, Union): Artificial putting green. Most holed putts in 10 attempts.
Penalty shootout (1pm, Tarkett pitches): 5 penalties, in between each one running to a cone 15 yards away before taking the next one. Winner is whoever scores most.
Short distance running (4- 6pm, Athletics Track): 100m heats then a final
Long Jump (4- 6pm, Athletics Track): 2 jumps each, furthest wins
Cross country run (6.30pm): Cross Country (starting in the piazza), quickest wins

FRIDAY 20th JUNE: Health and Wellbeing

A chance to relax and reflect after exams.

   On Friday 20th June as part of Sports Week, Warwick Sport will be holding a campus wide Health and Wellbeing Day to give you more information on making positive lifestyle changes, as well as advice on diet, exercise and losing weight.  Look out for seminars, information, healthy food options, taster sessions in Yoga and T’ai Chi, fitness challenges and even free human MOT’s in the Fitness Suite!

WARWICK VOLUNTEERS BIG SPORTS CHALLENGE DAY

*Volunteers needed*
The day gives about 40 children the opportunity to enjoy events (including Long Jump, javelin, 200m/ 400m, shot put, and the hurdles). Training in the morning then a competition in the afternoon. Volunteers needed to help with coaching sessions, time keeping, providing general support with the children, and compiling results. All volunteers given with a T Shirt (to wear on the day and take home with you) and provided with lunch.  Travel expenses reimbursed.
