The weather's hotting up and the Sports Ball is on the way, read on for this week's info...

SPORTS BALL TABLE PLANS!- enter them in asap for extra wine

Now's the time to start hassling your club members to make sure they've got their Sports Ball tickets so you can collect in their ticket numbers and can get your table plans in. If you get them in before the end of week 6 there's extra wine in it for your tables! There's 10 people per table but don't worry if you haven't got a full 10, just enter those you've got and we'll work something out. All you need to do is get all your club members to pick up their tickets from Advance then tell you their ticket number. As soon as you've got all of them in, think of a table name and enter all the details here.

Once again, please encourage as many people to go as possible, it's going to be a fantastic night! If people need any more encouragement, it's 99% certain we'll be getting some Gladiator jousting pugil sticks in so people will have the chance to duel Hunter or each other on the night... awesome. Also, if anyone's got Sky One look out for Hunter on the Gladiator Legends episode coming up soon!

Any questions just email me.

SPORTS AWARDS- get them in as soon as possible!

The deadline is fast approaching for putting nominations in for the various Sports Awards. All the details are here. The deadline is the end of week 4 (next week) so please email them in as soon as possible.

GOT ANY OLD SPORTS EQUIPMENT YOU DON'T NEED?

This year the University is sending 45 students to help teach in townships in South Africa and Tanzania as part of its Warwick in Africa programme. The students who are going are collecting unwanted sports gear to take over and use to set up after school sports clubs. If your club members or your club have any gear that you don't use any more it'd be great if it was donated to this worthy cause rather than just thrown away. Anything from bats, balls, bibs, cones, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Please pass this message on to your club members and email Chris if you have anything you no longer want: c.clarke.1@warwick.ac.uk

FREE PUBLICITY FOR YOUR CLUB

Sam Lee and Jamie Ballantyne are shooting and producing a 'Day in the Life of a Student' video to publicise the new Induction Week at the University (first step towards having a proper freshers week!).
This video will be published on the official Induction website which all incoming freshers will be directed to, as well as being shown at welcome events in the first few weeks of term, therefore a great way to publicise your club/society.
If you would like them to include some footage from your club or society at a practice, game or event then please contact Sam Lee at samuel.j.lee@warwick.ac.uk for more information. Filming will be going on from now until week 8, can be fitted around your clubs’ schedule, and will not be intrusive.
