- Easter Break Mailout
Afternoon all,
Firstly, congratulations to all those involved in BUSA- Warwick is currently 13th which we think is the best it's ever been!
On to business. We’re almost half way through the holidays and there’s a few bits of important information you need to know (one of which could bring you a lot of money), read on to find out more.
DO YOU WANT YOUR CLUB TO BE SPONSORED (#2)?
Thanks to all those who submitted the sponsorship forms, the information you gave us was really useful. We’re going to keep pushing companies throughout Easter, but we've already found one source that could be really beneficial to a few of you but which requires YOU to submit the required information by 30th April. Basically Deloitte are looking for new clubs and societies to sponsor (ones who don't already have sponsorship). Have a look at the information here (email Tom Lindsay if the link doesn't work- ssdo@sunion.warwick.ac.uk) and, if you want sponsorship for next year, contact them with your proposal- it shouldn’t be much more work than just emailing them the information you’ve already sent to me.
Also, if your club has sponsorship already or your club wants sponsorship NOW is the time to start confirming it for next year/ looking for it because it’s the start of the financial year. Have a look at this page if you want some advice: www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/warwicksport/officer/sponsorship/
TERM THREE FACILITY ALLOCATIONS AND SPORTS CENTRE ACCESS
Have a look here to see what facilities you’ve been allocated for next term: http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/sportscentre/timetables Any queries please contact Terry Monnington (t.monnington@warwick.ac.uk).
Access to the sports centre during parts of next term will be slightly different due to work to replace the swimming pool filtration unit. See here for info: http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/sportscentre
TENNIS CENTRE NOW OPEN
The tennis centre is now open. It has 4 top grade indoor tennis courts and 4 outdoor floodlit courts. There are preferential rates for students and staff on court bookings, ‘pay as you go’ sessions, and courses. Bookings for court hire and ‘pay as you go’ sessions can be taken 6 days in advance by calling Tennis Centre reception on 02476 150690. More information here: www.warwick.ac.uk/go/tenniscentre or email Penny Harris at penny.harris@warwick.ac.uk
TERM 3 SPORTS COUNCIL AND MANAGING YOUR MONEY
Don’t forget, Monday week 1, 5pm, Chancellor’s Suite. Also running Managing Your Money (compulsory) at the same time for all new treasurers (if you haven't elected them yet don't worry, there'll be another session in term 1 next year- we want as many as possible to do it now though).
NAKED CALENDAR
If you’re interested in your club taking part (it’s all for charity) please email Gemma ASAP- g.l.morris@warwick.ac.uk

Its official, KPMG is the Best Big Company to work for (again)! We're celebrating being named the 'Best Big Company to Work For' in the prestigious Sunday Times Best Companies awards. This marks the second time that we have won this award, and the fourth year in a row that we have come in the top three - an achievement that the Sunday Times describes as 'unparalleled.'It's not too late to join us for 2008, so if you want to be part of our remarkable organisation, please visit www.kpmg.co.uk/careers
VIDEO OF THE WEEK
I've lost track of which videos I’ve emailed out but don’t think I’ve sent this before. It’s Natalie Imbruglia’s song “Torn” done in (possibly not official) sign language (it’s funnier than that sounds!):
Hope you’re enjoying the Easter break,
Kate
