Warwick Labour Society exists as a place for like-minded people to meet, discuss and campaign.
These our aims for this year:
- To provide a voice and community for the Labour inclined people at the University of Warwick
- To raise awareness of issues affecting students on campus and in the wider world
- To provide opportunities for students to get involved with campaigning in elections and on particular issues
- To encourage more co-operation and interaction between the political societies, for example regular events organised between the major political parties in the Students' Union
- To organise regular socials, talks and meetings open to all
- To construct closer links with the national Labour Party and participate in national Labour Student activities
- To invite speakers from within and outside of The Labour Party
- To encourage more interaction, through our membership and our campaigns, with the Students' Union
We're also affiliated to The Co-Operative Party which means there is a chance every year to attend their "Summer Festival" in St Andrews. Its exactly what it says on the tin and you won't regret it!
