Usually, we play a concert at the end of each term in Kenilworth or Leamington. and have recieved many positive reviews of our concerts. In the third term we typically play in the Warwick Students’ Arts Festival in the final week of term, and last year took part in the Kenilworth Festival.

We are a totally open and un-auditioned orchestra and our advice to prospective members is to come along to one of our rehearsals and try out the repertoire and see how much you enjoy it!! We play a variety of repertoire including popular string music such as St. Paul’s Suite by Holst and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and less known, but enjoyable, music especially for String Orchestra. Recently this has included music by Tippett, Bartok, and Schostokovich's Chamber Symphony, our most challenging piece to date. Last year we recorded a few pieces: below is one of the youtube videos.
The Orchestra rehearses every Thursday in the National Grid room between 6-8pm, please contact the exec on the email address below for further details and rehearsal schedules. We are also a very sociable society, and in addition to going to the bar after rehearsals every week , we organise lots of fun socials during the year for all our members including the end of year String Orchestra BBQ.
