Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh
Welcome to Warwick Sikh Society! As a society, our aim is to bring people together to learn about and experience Sikhi, all while forming new friendships along the way! We hope that the society can be a sanctuary for you on campus and that you can take away some of the gems that Sikhi has to offer. Open to everyone, Sikh or non-Sikh :)
What We Do
We run our main event of the week every Tuesday in the Chaplaincy. Throughout the year, we organise a wide range of events across the following areas:
- Devotional & Educational: from Kirtan Darbars, to weekly lessons in Sikh history and Gurmukhi/Punjabi, to hosting guest speakers & discussions - aimed to help deepen your knowledge and experience of Sikhi.
- Socials & Sports: featuring bowling, go-karting, and game’s nights, plus our 5-a-side football and netball teams - these are the perfect way to make new friends!
- Campus-Wide Events: including our flagship Langar on Campus and Chabeel, open to the entire university community.
Mentorship Scheme
We also run a Mentorship Scheme, matching first years with 2nd/3rd year students who have similar interests, career goals, and courses - here to offer guidance, advice, and answer any questions about university.
(The chaa and oreo milkshakes are a fan favourite at our Tuesday events!)
