WELCOME 2012 FRESHERS!
Welcome to Warwick to all you new freshers and welcome back to existing Warwickians! We meet every week on Wednesday for a poker tournament and side games with a friendly atmosphere and lots of banter! Find us at the societies fair and have a chat or alternatively just show up in week 2 for a FREE to enter freshers tournament with cash prizes and more!
What do we do?
- We run weekly tournaments - the buy-in varies from week to week as we cater for all budgets! If you have no idea what this means, don't worry becasue we also...
- Offer tuition and instruction to beginners throughout the year as well as inviting professionals to talk to the more experienced players
- We organise trips abroad, to casinos and UK inter-university competitions (Oxford, St. Andrews, Keele, etc.)
- We also host an annual tournament open to anyone, called the Warwick Series of Poker (WaSOP). This tournament mimics the structure of the World Series of Poker and is a great chance to play with the best in student poker! This year we are proud to be sponsored by Paradise poker who will be giving away $5000 to the people who play in WaSOP!
- We also organise socials for members
- Have an active forum on our website for both current members and graduates to post anything from hand discussion to what the prez got up to at Smack!
