Welcome to the Warwick Liberal Democrats - we represent the Liberal Democrats and Young Liberals on campus. We encourage political discussion on campus, promote liberal values, run socials, campainging activites, debates, and speaker events.
We strive to always be open and inclusive, welcoming people of all political persuasions who want to get involved in our debates, campaigns, or just meet new friends! We hope you'll come say hello and get involved!

As well as our fun socials, this year we have exciting virtual speaker events lined up with figures including leading MPs and journalists. These events are exclusive to Warwick students. Make sure you join us to be the first to hear about them as they're announced!
Our events
Socials
We run a range of socials, both drinking and non-drinking, so there's something for everyone. For the more politically involved we have 'Spirited Discussions ' which is our debate evening where we discuss a range of topics, both serious and more light-hearted. We also have more relaxed socials such as LiberTea or our Board Games evening, and our pub golfs are the stuff of legend. We welcome those from across the political spectrum so do come along even if you aren't a Liberal Democrat!
Speakers
Thoughout the year we invite a range of speakers to come do talks and to engage with students. This year, we have our biggest and most exciting list of potential speakers ever - ranging from MPs to prominent journalists! For speakers' convenience, these sessions will be both online and in-person.
Campaigning
We run campaigns both on- and off-campus, promoting liberal values. For the 2019 General Election we had teams campaigning in Kenilworth, Leamington, and Coventry, with fellow Lib Dems joining us from areas like Birmingham. There is a strong Liberal Democrat prescence on Warwickshire District Council, and we had four of our members stand for it last year. Our main campaigning focus currently is preparing for the next general election and booting the Tories out!
