Impact Training

Impact Training is there for you to make sure that you have all the knowledge and skills to run your club or society effectively, safely and in some cases legally!

For this reason, some of the courses are compulsory for certain exec positions, and each of these must be completed by an exec member of your society to avoid a fine or your accounts being frozen.

They are all also a great opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge (great on the CV) and they really help in the running of any successful club or society.

Compulsory Courses

The following Impact Courses are compulsory for at least one member of the exec to attend. This doesn't have to have been in the current year, with the exception of First Aid, which must be renewed every year.

Duty of Care (Presidents and anyone running trips or tours)

Equal Opportunities (Any exec member)

Managing Your Money (Treasurers) Now running as an online course. Sports club treasurers must attend the Managing Your Money course during Sports Council at the start of Term 1

First Aid (Any) - There must be a First Aid trained member of your exec on any trip or outing.

Event Planning (Any) - You must have completed this Impact Training course in order to have any event, trip or ball approved.

The Schedule

Impact Training now runs in three blocks in the year:

Block 1: Term 3, Week 2
Block 2: Term 3, Weeks 8 and 9
Block 3: Term 1, Week 2

Depending on when your elections are, you should make sure your exec attends all of the relevant sessions in the earliest block possible.
