What's it all about?
Basically, the award has two aims. First and foremost, we wanted to reward all the time and effort students put into societies, sports clubs, campaigns, committees, volunteering, and everything else that isn't degree-related.
Secondly, employers are always complaining that students have a lot of fantastic experience but don't know how to talk about it in interviews and on application forms.
So, we teamed up with the University to bring you this: a chance to tell us what you've been doing, and get the recognition you deserve!
The Warwick Advantage Award is part of Warwick Advantage:
Warwick Advantage provides a portal through which you can find out about the hundreds of different activities you can get involved in while you’re a student. By taking part in extra curricular activities you can significantly develop your skills and experiences. So that you are also able to increase your graduate employability, the site also provides a range of useful resources which will enable you to ‘translate’ your skills and experiences into the language graduate recruiters are looking for.
You can store the work you do in your blog, a memory stick or folder and ‘recycle’ it in application forms, CVs, in interviews and use it to contribute to your Warwick Advantage Award entry."
The Warwick Advantage Award is kindly supported by IBM.
