The Chess Club is a friendly club for anyone who wants to learn or improve their chess, or just enjoys playing. For those of you who want to play competitive games, we run 5 teams throughout the 3 divisions of the local Coventry & District Chess League, catering for players of all abilities. League matches take place most Tuesdays during the first 2 terms (although there is no obligation for everyone to attend every match). Thursday evening is our club night, when we play friendly games and chess variants. This runs from 7:30-10pm in one of the Meeting Rooms in SU HQ (look out for the meeting room with a chess board outside it)
