The Brass Band after coming third at the regionals in 2008 and qualifying for the National Brass Band Championships in Harrogate

With over 50 members, the Brass Society provides opportunities for all Brass Players to rehearse, perform and socialise regularly. Our award-winning ensembles (which include Brass Band and Symphonic Brass Ensemble) welcome all standards of musicians and are non-auditioned, informal and friendly. There is at least one performance each term for each ensemble.

If you've never played a brass instrument but would like to be involved then Beginners Brass might be for you, this provides an opportunity for anyone to learn a brass instrument. We provide all of the instruments, music and basic tuition which is given by some of our members.

We also go on tour annually, with recent destinations including Germany, Belgium, Devon & Cornwall, Holland, the Isle of Wight and Manchester. For more information please see our web site at http://www.brasssoc.co.uk/ or the notice board in the Music Centre.
