Welcome to Warwick Film Studies Society!
The Film Studies Society was set up in 2008 for all film enthusiasts, regardless of whether they study film or not. We're not just about watching films (though obviously we try to do a fair amount of that!). We're here so you can meet up with like-minded people and chat about the latest releases, or pick over the Oscar nominations. We're here to let you know about all sorts of film events on and off campus, with upcoming shows at the Arts Centre, details of cinema clubs and news of film-related happenings in the local community. We're here to organise tours to film festivals and museums, so you can take in some cinephilic culture whenever the mood takes you. We're here to help you have a good time, with socials ranging from coffee mornings and lunches to pub quizzes and nights out. We're here to provide you with opportunities to be part of a community by wearing a society hoodie or running for a place on the exec. We're here to help you find out about media and film related careers events on campus and in the local area, so you can get that all important foot in the door. And if there's anything else you want from us then just get in touch, and we'll see what we can do!
