Overview
Warwick Emerging Markets Society aims to discuss stimulating issues and topics in the Emerging Markets, achieved through a large one day forum in late November and a distinguished speaker series. In the Autumn term we have the following events planned:
Warwick Emerging Markets Forum - Sat Nov 26th, ACCR
Warwick Emerging Markets Forum is an exciting new student-run forum on the emerging markets, which is to be held at the University of Warwick on the 26th of November 2011. We aim to provide a stimulating platform for discussion on the emerging markets, offering a unique opportunity to aid and expand students’ understanding of the emerging markets and their increasing prominence in the world. We will cover various aspects of the emerging markets including economic, political, development and investment issues by bringing together a range of leading professionals, academics and institutional representatives.
There is general consensus amongst researchers and academics alike that the emerging markets are going to have an incredibly important role in the global economy in the near future. However, the path that each emerging nation will follow is a dynamic and complex issue that we plan on exploring. Through combining different topics in the emerging markets from representatives of both the developed and developing world, the forum will act as a stimulating rounded viewpoint on the emerging markets. Through keynote talks and lively panel debates, we plan to encourage debate and discussion, enhanced through the opportunity to discuss ideas with speakers and sponsors during the networking breaks.

Distinguished Speaker Series
In additional to the main Forum, we will be running a distinguished speaker series in the Autumn Term. This will feature highly acclaimed speakers giving interesting talks on various topics, stay tuned in the coming weeks for the full line-up!
Skills Workshops
We will also be running a series of skills workshops this term with our sponsors. Understand how to make a winning application for a role in, or involving the emerging markets.
