Dragon Ball Z, the Anime and Manga society is for anyone interested in trying, watching, discussing or borrowing Anime or Manga of any kind, and meeting people with similar interests.
Showings are weekly at 7pm on Tuesdays (usually in
S0.21) and generally are made up of two 1 hour segments with plenty of opportunity to socialise inbetween. Our
schedule can be seen on our website. Our first official meeting is in
WEEK TWO, and we will be attending the Fresher's Fayre on
Wednesday of week 1.
In addition to the weekly meetings, we also hold many socials and events, which over the course of a year normally include:
- Video weekends such as the Weekend of Win and eXtreme all-nighter.
- Shopping trips to Coventry, visiting shops such as Forbidden Planet and Astral Gypsy.
- Pub socials, usually at the Phantom Coach pub in Canley.
- Cosplay and Art workshops, which take place termly.
We also have an extensive
library (200+) of DVDs and books ("Manga") available to our members for them to borrow.
If you are unsure about us, please feel free to come along to our any of our showings, they're basically like an "interactive cinema" where you can meet and talk with others in the society.
