Greetings, and welcome to the Postgraduate pages for our Students' Union website!
We realise that a lot of our postgraduate students may not feel as connected to the Students' Union as some of our undergraduates may. A lot of this is because people may see us only as a "bar for 18 year olds", and may not realise a lot of the other things we offer that postgraduates may prefer. The postgraduate community is by no means a homogenous group, and so we've tried to include a wide range of activities and support functions here e.g. our massive range of societies here at Warwick, which range from Cheese and Chocolate Appreciation to Amnesty. All of our societies and sports clubs are available to postgraduates, if you're willing to get involved.
These specific website pages will be regularly updated to highlight various events that we think would be of particular interest to postgraduates. We realise that some postgraduates do actually want us to provide specific night entertainment, and so we are aiming to create a new night out especially for postgrads in our venue, the Copper Rooms. If you want to get involved with the planning of this, please contact the Communications Officer or the Postgraduate Forum (contact details below).
- Advice and support
The Students' Union has a fully confidential and independent Student Advice Centre, located on the top floor of SUHQ. Via the Centre, and our webpages, you can access representation, advice and support with anything from complaining about a lack of supervision, to problems with council tax bills.
The University also details their provisions for postgraduates via their Graduate School website, with a lot of their regulations hosted on the 'Forms, Policies and Procedures Library' (e.g. PhD guidelines on supervision, or information about course extensions).

We are always keen to hear new ideas about how we can improve what we offer to postgraduates. You can contact our student-led Postgraduate Forum, or any of our full-time sabbatical officer team, and they will direct you to the most relevant person.
The Postgraduate Society is the best way to meet new people at Warwick and a main source of social life for postgraduates.
You can join at any time, and there are new members at events all year round. The society works really hard to make new members feel welcome .
Joining the Postgraduate Society costs just £2.50 for 1 year, £4.00 for 2 years, or £5.00 for 3 years. As soon as you have joined you will receive weekly e-mails about all events, and substantial discounts for every event. Click here for more info!
