Salary

The salary is £18,476 to £21,307 per annum plus excellent holiday and benefits.

Hours

36.5 hours per week subject to a 16 week probationary period. Some weekend and evening working may be required from time to time for special events. Time off in lieu will be granted.

Details

Warwick Students’ Union is looking for a key addition to its staff team following an exciting review of services for sports clubs at the University of Warwick. You will be responsible for supporting the activities and the administration of student sports clubs of which there are 70 at Warwick. A key part of the role is administering and arranging British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) fixtures including weekly fixtures and one off events.

You will provide advice and guidance for these clubs, particularly in relation to fixtures, competitions, health and safety, managing finances and legal compliance. Warwick SU and the University of Warwick’s Department of Sport work in strong partnership to support sports clubs. This role is critical to the effectiveness of this relationship.

You will be responsible for keeping the sports clubs sections of the SU website up to date and use your knowledge of technology to communicate effectively with our members, promoting the clubs and their activities.

In order to succeed, you must be an effective written and verbal communicator with strong customer service skills. You must also possess excellent planning and organisational skills and have experience of administering BUCS fixtures.  You will be highly PC literate and able to use data to make improvements to services.

Experience of working with volunteers in a sports environment is highly desirable.
