WIDS is one of the largest student-led development summits taking place in the UK. We aim to encourage a critical debate among the leading political actors of today and our students to raise awareness of development issues. In 2006 we attracted 30 speakers from 6 continents to come to Warwick University, in an effort to raise awareness of development issues to both a lay and a knowledgeable audience.

Due to the generous contribution from our sponsors practically all costs have been covered for the summit, for this reason we are able to bring you prestigious speakers from Washington, the World Bank, IMF, Vienna, Paris , the OECD, UN and many other INGO's plus some of the worlds best academics at incredibly low prices.  We are a non profit organization so we have been able to cut ticket prices this year drastically!
