Pressure is Warwick University's legendary Drum n Bass night. Running continuously in the same venue since it's inception in 1996, it is one of the biggest regular nights of its kind in the Midlands, if not the UK, and has a loyal crew of Pressure fans that continue to grow.
Much respected by DJs and artists in the Drum & Bass world, anyone who is anyone in Drum n Bass has performed at Pressure . That includes Goldie, Andy C, Pendulum, Hype, Roni Size, LTJ Bukem, Marky, Zinc and many more.
Taking place on three Thursday nights per university term, from 10am to 2am, Pressure is open to the General Public and renowned for its amazing light shows, décor and buzzing atmosphere that consistently eclipse other drum n bass nights in the area. Its crowd is a diverse mix of students and people from as far and wide as Birmingham, Nottingham and beyond.
This year has seen the inclusion of the massively renowned producer and DJ Baron from Breakbeat Kaos as our primary resident DJ. He has been on hand at every Pressure event this term and has successfully smashed it for the Pressure crowd. Pressure's second resident is the fast rising DJ Version. Still vibing from winning BBC 1Xtra's 'Innovation in the Sun' competition- which saw the public vote him onto the Innovation Festival bill in Spain, as well as two sets played out on 1Xtra and a DJ spot at Global Gathering- 2007 is looking very much like Version's year.
So, if crashing Drum n Bass, awesome light shows and mindblowing visuals are your thing, Pressure will be an important date in your calendar!
