Had a moan about Warwick life? Well now's your chance to do something about it. Officers have the ability to make very real change happen – both in the SU and at the University. Plenty of the things which are now taken for granted were started by former Officers.
2Make Real Decisions
Of course, students are the real boss in the SU, but Officers make big decisions on a daily basis. The Sabbs are Trustees, which might sound dull, but gives you responsibility for an organisation with a £7 million turnover. Big decisions are made by you – no other job is like that straight out of Uni.
3Skills Boost
The number of skills you gain as an Officer is unreal. From communicating at all levels to debating, presenting to teamwork, time management to prioritisation – it's hard to overestimate the skills boost you can get in these roles.
4No Two Days are the Same
The Union is an incredible organisation to work in. Every single day is different. Sometimes you devote hours to helping an individual student, other times you're working on a project to help thousands.
