Why Again?
 

As we announced on 12th March, following an incredibly difficult decision our Welfare & Campaigns Officer Elect decided not to take up his position in favour of a dream job offer. We don’t bear any grudges and wish him all the best but are now having to run another election for the position.

Why Not the 2nd Place Candidate?

Some students have been asking why the post didn’t simply go to the runner up from the previous election. This was a very tricky decision to make but, put simply, we think running another election is the most democratic thing to do – for the student body and for the post-holder.
