Funding from the University
Academic Year 2011-2012
The University has a Warwick Undergraduate Aid Programme (WUAP) that provides scholarships for students from lower income backgrounds.
The Warwick Scholarship is £1500 pa and is paid to all home students who can satisfy certain criteria: they receive a Maintenance or Special Support grant and they are from a family whose income is less than £36,001 (or they are an independent student).
WUAP offers other scholarships but they have to be applied for. See the WUAP webpages for more information.
The University also has an Access to Learning Fund which is for home students both undergraduate and postgraduate, full and part time. This money is allocated on a discretionary needs basis. The application form and guidance notes can be downloaded from the Student Funding website
Academic Year 2012-2013
From 2012 there will be a National Scholarship Programme under which each University will offer a package of financial support for students starting in that year. Warwick will have fee waivers and a bursary for students from low income families.
The fee waivers will be for £2000 pa for all students with family incomes of £25,000 or less per year. The Warwick Bursaries will be available for students with family incomes of up to £42600 pa and will be between £500 and £2,500 pa.
