Night Line
Because sometimes just talking helps! Nightline is an independent, confidential and non-judgmental listening service run by trained, anonymous students. This means that you can call or drop in for any reason at all and they won’t judge you or tell you what to do. They are simply there to listen to anything you wish to talk about. Nightline also give out taxi numbers, attack alarms, condoms and lube. As well as this they have all sorts of information about local services.

Warwick Pride
Pride is a social, welfare and campaigning society for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, undefined, asexual and their friends (LGBTUA+).

Support Society
Offers peer to peer support on a range of welfare issues. The society is free to join and if you’d like to come along or get involved in setting one up, visit them at the Societies Fair or email them.

Personal tutor system
Each student will be assigned a departmental personal tutor and they should be your first port of call. They will be able to provide you with academic and pastoral advice as well as being able to guide you towards other support services.
Counselling Service
This service is available free of charge to all students who require professional therapeutic counselling with issues such as depression, anxiety, problems with identity and relationships, or any other issue from the past or present that may hinder your capacity to function – abuse, self harm, eating disorders, loss of a loved one etc.

Health Centre
The Health Centre is a good first port of call for any medical advice and all students who live on campus or in Coventry can register with them. They offer treatment and advice for minor accidents, immunisations, travel clinics, emergency contraception and safe sex, as well as testing for pregnancy and sexual transmitted infections. They provide a General Practitioner (GP) service with both male and female doctors as well as consultations with nurses and emergency appointments.

Director of Student Support and Senior Tutor
If you have a problem with an academic issue (e.g. support during an appeal, advice on academic progression etc) or need someone to turn to in confidence for support regarding difficulties with your studies then the Senior Tutor, Steven Lamb, will be able to help. All matters will be dealt with in strict confidence and nothing will be passed on without your agreement. If your problem is not directly academic related (e.g. problems with residences or personal problems), you can contact Dan Persaud, the Director of Student Support.

Disability Services
This service can help you if you have any sort of disability or condition (unseen or physical) that creates barriers to study. They can make reasonable adjustments to facilitate study and provide specialist dyslexia tuition and services to students with Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

Chaplaincy
The Chaplaincy provides pastoral and spiritual care to all students from all different faiths and even if you don’t have a faith. The Chaplaincy Team consists of Revd Mark Potter (Anglican), Revd Stuart Jennings (Baptist, Methodist and URC), Revd Dr P Prem Jayalath Ferando (Catholic), Rabbi Fishel Cohen (Jewish) and Dawud Bone (Muslim). As well as this the university also has a Muslim Prayer Hall.

Mental Health Co-ordinator
The university has a mental health coordinator, Sarah Ashworth, who is eager to ensure that students with mental health difficulties receive advice, information and support as needed to facilitate academic work and participation in University life. All communication is confidential and informal.

Community Mental Health Nurse
The Health Centre on campus also has a Community Mental Health Nurse, Rebecca Fairchild who will be able to help you with any mental health problems.
